For more than 50 years, the private, not-for-profit has operated a telephone-based helpline offering crisis intervention and information and referral services, 24 hours a day. Since 2001, callers have been able to dial 2-1-1 to reach trained care coordinators who provide information and assistance in times of emotional, financial and community crisis.
