Rick Oram

Rick Oram has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rick started their career as a Field Service Technician at Computer Solutions, where they gained expertise in repairing PC equipment. Rick then joined NYNEX Business Systems as a Service Manager in Syracuse, where they managed a team of technicians and focused on increasing customer satisfaction. Later, they worked as an Area Service Manager at NYNEX Business Centers, overseeing service operations in Upstate NY.

In 1991, Rick joined Computerland, taking on the role of Sr. Service Manager. Rick managed multiple service centers and successfully merged TRW service locations into Computerland systems. Rick also implemented service contract offerings and increased service revenue.

After that, Rick joined Vanstar as an Area Service Director and later became the Director of the NOVA Project, responsible for re-engineering and requirements gathering. Rick brought their extensive field experience and expertise to IT support functions.

Following the acquisition of Vanstar by Inacom, Rick held Various IT Director positions. Rick managed a business analysis and development staff and implemented EDI transactions with various companies. Rick also completed a customized service billing system.

In 2000, Rick joined Digital Security Vision as the Vice President of Engineering, where they played a crucial role in establishing the start-up business BusVision. Rick helped grow the company and provided systems design for digital video recorders, cameras, and software applications targeting the school bus industry.

Since 2005, Rick has been working at 247Security as the Director of Engineering. Rick co-founded the company and was involved in both hardware and software design. The company has experienced significant growth, with an installed base of over 100K systems.

Rick Oram obtained an AAS degree in Electrical Engineering from Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology, where they studied from 1981 to 1984.
