Magnus Janson

CEO at 2550 Engineering

Magnus Janson has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Magnus started their career in 1997 with summer work at Ericsson Microwave Systems, where they worked on a high-speed logical design project. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a consultant at Consat Engineering AB, performing quality work and hardware follow-up for the telematics group at Volvo 3P.

In 2005, Magnus joined Volvo 3P as a HW responsible for the telematics system for trucks, working closely with international suppliers. Magnus later became a project manager for telematics hardware, leading a team of 20 people in a complex project with international suppliers. Magnus also had experience as a project manager for Lyon, leading a team of French SW specification developers and gaining valuable cultural experience.

Following their time at Volvo 3P, Magnus joined Qamcom Research and Technology in 2012. Magnus held multiple roles during their tenure, including senior project manager for Volvo AB's new antenna portfolio, where they managed the development and introduction of the portfolio for Volvo and Renault trucks. Magnus also managed the Ericsson 60 GHz Minilink product, overseeing its development, purchasing, and release to the market.

In 2018, Magnus took on the role of CEO at 2550 Engineering, where they currently hold a leadership position. Overall, Magnus has a strong background in project management, business development, and technical expertise in the engineering industry.

Magnus Janson pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning in 1996. Magnus attended Chalmers University of Technology for five years, from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1999, during their time at Chalmers University, Magnus also enrolled at the University of Washington for a year, until 2000, to further their knowledge in Electronics, earning another Master's degree.
