Michael Sprague

Michael Sprague has a strong background in telecommunications and network engineering. Michael started their career as a Service Activation Engineer at PacketExchange in 2010 before taking a break to travel. Upon returning to New Zealand, they worked as a Tier 3 Network Engineer at Orcon from 2011 to 2012. Michael then transitioned to Kordia New Zealand as an Operations Engineer before returning to Orcon in 2013, where they initially worked as an Operations Engineer and later as a Technical Pre Sales Engineer. Sprague then joined CallPlus Group, M2 Group Ltd, and Vocus Communications consecutively, working as a Technical Pre Sales Engineer in each company. In 2017, they joined Vocus Group New Zealand as a Lead Solutions Architect, a position they held until 2022. Currently, in 2022, they are now working as a Lead Solutions Architect at 2degrees.

Michael Sprague attended Auckland University of Technology from 2000 to 2001, where they studied Power Electronics and Computer Networking. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Rutherford High School from 1993 to 1997. Michael also holds additional certifications including the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice and the CCNA certification from Cisco. The specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
