2ND HOUSE is a conscious convenience store offering top-tier convenience you can trust across health, home, food and beauty.

It's more than a store, it's a movement. We are building conscious cornerstones in the community, where we gather to nourish body and spirit, to choose clean with ease and confidence, and to connect more deeply with ourselves and one another.

Here, convenience is redefined: every product vetted, every touchpoint ritualized, every choice, a step toward elevated everyday living.

The vision for 2nd House was catalyzed nearly a decade ago when founder Kara Ladd was diagnosed with a rare, one-in-a-million cancer called synovial sarcoma. Her transformational healing journey not only reshaped her relationship with health as she overhauled her entire life—food, beauty, home and community—but also her career.

Kara left her 9-to-5 as Hearst Digital Media’s first-ever E-Commerce & Partnerships Editor, where she produced and optimized content across all 28 digital publications, to launch her own conscious marketing consultancy. For seven years, she specialized in building storytelling strategies for spiritual health, wellness and holistic hospitality brands.

2nd House is the physical manifestation of the digital world Kara has cultivated thus far.
