Dan Popescu

Dan Popescu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries.

Dan started their career as a Software Developer and DB Administrator at Berg Computers in 2001, working there until 2004. Dan then moved on to Targetpoint, where they worked as a Project Manager from 2004 to 2005. After that, they joined ATOSS Software AG as a Project Leader and Senior Software Developer from 2005 to 2006.

In 2006, Dan joined Waterford Institute, initially working as a Software Development Manager and System Architect until 2010. Dan then transitioned to the role of Scrum Master from 2010 to 2011. Dan'sfinal role at Waterford Institute was as a Product Owner and Agile Product Manager & Business Analyst from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, they had multiple roles, including being a Co-Founder at Early Agile Education from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they also worked as an Agile Software Development Trainer at AIESEC University and as a Product Manager at secure.me.

From 2013 to 2020, Dan worked at XING Events GmbH. Dan started as a Product Owner from 2013 to 2014, then moved on to become a Senior Product Manager from 2014 to 2019. Dan served as a Senior Business Owner and Cluster Head from 2019 to 2020.

Currently, Dan Popescu is employed as the Head of Product & Data at 2trde, a position they have held since February 2021.

Dan Popescu completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Universitatea "Politehnica" din Timișoara, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Dan later pursued a Master of Science in IT Management from CEU Business School, completing the program in 2009.

In terms of certifications, Dan obtained the following:

- In 2004, they obtained the Zertifikat Deutsch from Goethe Institut.

- In 2008, they became an Oracle/Sun Certified Professional Java Programmer (SCJP SE 5) from SUN Microsystems.

- In 2010, they achieved the ITIL V3 Foundation Certification from Information Technology Infrastructure Library.

- In 2011, they obtained the CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) and CSM (Certified Scrum Master) certifications from Scrum Alliance.
