Tom Behrens

Tom Behrens has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Tom is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at 2ULaundry since 2023.

Previously, Tom worked at Emporos from 2018 to 2023, where they held multiple roles. Tom started as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer from July 2018 to January 2020. Tom then became a Principal Engineer from January 2020 to January 2021, leading the integration with 3rd party vendors for payment processing. Lastly, they served as the Engineering Team Lead from January 2021 to March 2023, leading a team of 5 engineers and implementing Identity as a Service (SSO) using OAuth2.0/OIDC.

Before Emporos, Tom worked at Healthstat, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2016 to July 2018. Tom'smain accomplishment there was architecting a Single Sign-On portal that utilized OpenId/OAuth2.0 and SAML2.

Tom also had experience at AutoUpLink Technologies as a Software Engineer from August 2014 to October 2016. Tom'sresponsibilities there included migrating features to a cloud-native microservice, configuring Jenkins for building and testing node.js projects, refactoring web-based applications, architecting scalable message-based systems using RabbitMQ, and integrating with 3rd party vendors for data transfer.

Tom'searliest work experience was as an Application Developer at DataWorks Plus from August 2009 to August 2014.
