Andy Slater

Andy Slater is an experienced sound designer and recording engineer, currently serving as Sound Designer and Access Lead at Fair Worlds since June 2020 and has held various roles in sound production since 2012. Slater's expertise includes spacial audio experience design, research and development for Chicago Artist Census, and participation in the Disability Culture Leadership Initiative at 3Arts. Previous experience includes roles as an artist with the Society Of Visually Impaired Sound Artists, brand ambassador for Harman JBL, and station manager at Free Radio SAIC, where responsibilities included training student DJs and managing programming. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Sound Arts and Industries from Northwestern University and a BFA in Sound from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
