Changwon Keum

Changwon Keum began their career in 2007 as a Research Scientist at the Bioinformatics and Molecular Design Research Center. In 2011, they took on the role of CEO at Geference Inc., and in 2015 they became a Team Leader at Macrogen Inc. In 2016, Keum returned to their role as CEO at 3billion.

Changwon Keum obtained a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics from Soongsil University from 2001 to 2005. Changwon then went on to earn a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from 2005 to 2007. In 2010, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the University of Southern California. Additionally, they have obtained certificates from edX and Coursera, including an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark in June 2015, an Epidemiology: The Basic Science of Public Health certificate from Coursera in March 2014, and a Statistical Reasoning for Public Health: Estimation, Inference, & Interpretation certificate from Coursera in March 2014. Changwon also has certificates from Coursera for Introduction to Genetics and Evolution in December 2012, Mathematical Biostatistics Boot Camp 1 in November 2012, Computing for Data Analysis in October 2012, and Machine Learning in October 2012, as well as an edX Honor Code Certificate for Statistical Thinking for Data Science and Analytics.
