Kai Narita

Kai Narita's work experience includes serving as the CEO/Co-founder at 3D Architech since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Affiliate (Visiting Scientist) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology starting in May 2022. From July 2021 to December 2022, Kai worked as a Battery Engineer at 24M Technologies. Kai also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Caltech from September 2016 to May 2021. Additionally, they served as a Visiting Researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany from June 2019 to September 2019. Kai's work experience also includes being a Research Assistant at Tokyo Institute of Technology from October 2012 to March 2016, a Visiting Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in October 2015, a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Riverside from July 2014 to September 2014, and an intern at the National Institute for Materials Science from March 2014 to April 2014. Kai also worked as an intern at Nippon Steel Corporation in July 2012.

Kai Narita pursued higher education from 2010 to 2021. They started their academic journey at Tokyo Institute of Technology where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 2014. Following this, they moved to Tokyo Medical and Dental University from 2011 to 2014, specializing in the Medical Engineering Course within the field of Medical Science. In 2014, they returned to Tokyo Institute of Technology for their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree, focusing on Materials Science. Finally, from 2016 to 2021, Kai Narita attended Caltech, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science.
