Aaron Schmitz

Aaron Schmitz is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in additive manufacturing and engineering management. Currently serving as a Staff Application Engineer at 3D Systems Corporation since April 2021, Schmitz plays a pivotal role as a technical expert in guiding pioneering metal laser powder bed fusion components through their product realization life cycle. Previously, Schmitz managed a global team of process engineers at 3D Systems Corporation, focusing on process validation and qualification within regulated environments. As the Founder and Owner of STEM Tutoring Online, Schmitz established a successful e-learning platform during the COVID-19 pandemic. With prior roles at GE Aviation and GE Additive, Schmitz demonstrated proficiency in design engineering, mechanical analyses, and project management across various engineering domains. Schmitz holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
