James Lu

Product Development Lead at 3dMD

James Lu has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. James started their career as a Research Assistant at HUGHES TRAINING in 1996 and then moved on to work as a Research Assistant at Raytheon in 1997. In 1999, they joined UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas as an Engineering Research Associate. In 2000, they became a Sr. Software Engineer at Computer Associates, where they worked on the Visual Simulation Service. From 2003 to 2005, they worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Specialist, focusing on ProteinShop and DockingShop. In 2005, they took on the role of Lead Software Engineer at Hanna Strategies LLC, where they worked on Autodesk® Design Review. In the same year, they also joined Autodesk as a Lead Software Engineer, a role which they held until 2008. Since 2008, they have been working at 3dMD, initially as a Principal Software Engineer until 2013, when they became the Product Development Lead and Principal Investigator. Throughout their career, James Lu has demonstrated expertise in software engineering and product development.
