Mike Kirkness

Mike Kirkness has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Mike is currently serving as the CEO and President of 3Helix, Inc. since November 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Innovation Officer at the same company from September 2019 to November 2020, and was previously a Business Advisor from March 2019 to September 2019.

Before joining 3Helix, Inc., Mike owned and operated Swim Focused starting from September 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Aquatics Managing Partner at Catalyst Kinetics Group from January 2013 to September 2017. Mike also had a role as the Owner and Sales Manager at Catalyst Tech Solutions from 2013 to 2015.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked as the Head Coach at Haney Seahorse Swim Club from September 2010 to August 2012. Overall, Mike has a wide range of experience in business ownership, leadership, innovation, and swim coaching.

Mike Kirkness completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biophysics from Simon Fraser University, which they pursued from 2006 to 2012. Their academic journey later led him to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology, which they successfully completed from Simon Fraser University between 2013 and 2019.
