Chris Howitt is an experienced professional in research and development, currently serving as Vice President of Research and Development at 3M since July 2006, leading global R&D efforts. Throughout a substantial tenure at 3M, Chris has held various key positions including Sr. Director of Fine Chemicals & Polymers, Director of Global Application Engineering Services, and Technical Director for regions including EMEA and Central & East Europe. Prior roles include Head of Research & Development for 3M Poland and Technical Director for 3M CEEMEA. Chris began a career in research as a Research Associate at British Gas and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Universite Louis Pasteur, following the attainment of a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Reading.
