Ian Foslien

Ian Foslien, MBA, MSME, serves as the Global Portfolio Leader for Robotics & Automation at 3M, where responsibilities include overseeing strategic alliance initiatives and marketing for abrasives and material removal applications since June 2018. Foslien previously held roles as Global Product Marketing Manager at 3M and Strategic Marketing Manager at Donaldson, focusing on profitable growth and market intelligence for diverse product portfolios. Earlier experience includes positions at Visteon Corporation, the University of Minnesota as a Teaching Assistant, and Xcel Energy as a Mechanical Engineer. Foslien holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
