Luis Alvarez

Luis Alvarez is an experienced professional in supply chain management and procurement, currently serving as the Global Strategic Procurement Director at 3M since January 1997. Throughout their tenure, Luis has held various leadership positions, including Global Strategic Sourcing Manager and Supply Chain Manager for Latin America, where Luis developed and executed a supply chain simplification strategy and led ERP activities. As Director of Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Lean Six Sigma for Latin America, Luis implemented long-term strategies and Lean processes across multiple locations, achieving significant operational improvements. Luis also has a background as Finance Manager, where financial planning and management were key responsibilities. In addition to current involvement with Procurement Foundry, Luis holds degrees in Supply Chain and Finance, complemented by certifications and multiple educational achievements, including Lean Six Sigma expertise.
