Previously, Engel was a partner at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., and led the Intellectual Property & Tech Group at Best & Flanagan. Engel held the position of General Counsel at Anteris Technologies, where significant achievements included developing a Patent Strategy Plan that increased the patent portfolio by 220% year-over-year. Engel's earlier roles included positions at Kinney & Lange, P.A., and Vidas, Arrett & Steinkraus, P.A., alongside a foundation in engineering and quality management from prior experience at The Falk Corporation and Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
