Peter Bye

Peter Bye is a retired professional with extensive experience in high-performance computing and systems architecture. They served as the Chief Architect and Managing Specialist at 3M from 1994 until their retirement in 2018, overseeing the corporate high-performance computing and storage infrastructure. Prior to that, they were the Chief Architect and Systems Administrator for the Natural Resources Research Institute at the University of Minnesota from 1986 to 1994, managing computational infrastructure for various research contracts. Peter began their career as a Lead Welder Fabricator at Reach All Manufacturing and Engineering, where they advanced in production and development roles. Peter pursued undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of North Dakota and later earned a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Business from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
