Sam Fahey

Sam Fahey is a Scientist at 3M, where they build physics-informed machine learning tools to accelerate R&D in nanophotonics. They have held the position of Senior Research Scientist at 3M since 2019 and currently serve as a Data Science Specialist. Prior to their roles at 3M, Sam worked as a Data Scientist at Fahey Meteorological Consulting, LLC, analyzing weather conditions to support cargo operations from 2018 to 2023. Sam earned their Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they engaged in experimental astrophysics, developing experiments and utilizing machine learning for neutrino astronomy from 2014 to 2018.
