Stacy Sommer is a seasoned professional in the field of coatings and polymeric materials, currently serving as the Global R&D Platform Director at 3M since June 2011. With a progressive career at 3M, Stacy has held various titles, including Senior Technical Manager and Technical Manager within the Global R&D Platform, as well as roles focusing on new product development and abrasive product development. Prior to 3M, Stacy gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Dakota State University and served as a Technical Aide in the Optical Systems Division at 3M. Stacy holds a PhD in Coatings and Polymeric Materials from North Dakota State University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
