Tom Wallisch

Tom Wallisch is a Technical Manager in the Test Development Group and Pilot Lab at 3M Abrasives R&D, with over nine years of experience in control systems engineering and extensive expertise in quality systems, machine vision, and test method development. They have designed and commissioned major production lines and have a solid background in programming with Allen Bradley control systems, along with familiarity in AutoMax and Modicon hardware. Their career includes international experience supporting installations in multiple countries, such as Austria, Brazil, China, Korea, Singapore, and the UK. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and two Master's degrees in Manufacturing Systems from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to their current role, they have held various positions at 3M, including Control Systems Engineer, Senior Process Development Specialist, and Quality Manager.
