Sen Pan's work experience begins with their current position as a Software Engineer at HypeVR since August 2021. In this role, they are responsible for building a state-of-the-art volumetric video pipeline for future metaverse applications. Their tasks include developing multiview stereo algorithms for high accuracy point cloud reconstruction using C++, OpenCV, and PCL, as well as conducting and improving multi RGB and IR camera calibration.
Prior to their current position, Sen Pan worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo starting in July 2020. They were a part of the UB DRONES lab's visual SLAM team, where they contributed to the development of a novel modular visual SLAM framework for mobile platforms. Their responsibilities also included coding for the modular SLAM modules.
Sen Pan completed a Bachelor's degree in Vehicle Engineering at China Agricultural University from 2008 to 2012. From 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Sen then furthered their education by earning a second Master's degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, which they completed between 2019 and 2021.
