Martin Sandau

Martin Sandau serves as the Director and Head of Audio R&D at 3Shape since June 2023, with prior experience as a Senior Group Manager. From January 2021 to May 2023, Martin worked at Ambu A/S as the Display Unit PMO Manager and Innovation Project Manager. Martin has a history with 3Shape from November 2017 to January 2021 as a Group Manager and Project Manager in Software Development. Earlier roles include Algorithm Group Manager and Algorithm Developer at Philips. Martin held a consulting position as a PhD at Dansk Brand- og sikringsteknisk Institut from June 2011 to March 2016, contributing to multiple R&D projects and authoring five peer-reviewed publications in biomedical engineering, imaging, and machine learning. Martin holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Copenhagen and has a Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Leadership from DTU. Additionally, Martin obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from DTU and has military training from the Danish army and Training Ship DANMARK.
