Simon Fischer

Simon Fischer is the current Senior Director of R&D Software at 3Shape. Simon has been with the company since 2012, starting as a Project Manager. In 2015, they became Group Manager, and in 2017, they became Director of R&D Software.

Fischer has been instrumental in the development of several successful medical software devices that are used by thousands of people in the dental industry. Simon is responsible for leading innovative and highly skilled specialists in the development of cutting-edge technology. Simon has managed multiple agile distributed Scrum teams involving Denmark, Ukraine and Macedonia. Simon is also responsible for risk management and regulatory approvals such as FDA and CE markings.

Fischer is committed to the continuous development and motivation of highly skilled specialists, developers, Scrum Masters and project managers. Simon has a passion for developing innovative dental CAD applications and creating successful outcomes for their team and clients.

Simon Fischer has a cand.polyt. from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet in Image Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Informatics. Simon also has an EBA from Copenhagen University College of Engineering in Engineering Business Administration. Simon is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Maryland in Computer Science.
