We are America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

The 4-H Experience:
4-H is delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Kids complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. 

This 4-H experiences grows young people who are two times more likely to make healthy decisions; two times more likely to pursue STEM opportunities outside of school; and four times more likely to contribute to their communities. Kids experience 4-H in every county and parish in the country—through in-school and afterschool programs, school and community Clubs, and 4-H camps.



National 4-H Council is the private sector, non-profit partner of the Cooperative Extension System and 4-H National Headquarters located at the National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This includes managing donor relationships, fostering corporate and foundation partnerships, overseeing grant administration, and driving cause marketing campaigns. Through their efforts, the team ensures sustainable funding for 4-H programs across the nation.

Development

The Finance team at National 4-H Council is responsible for managing the organization's financial health and ensuring the efficient utilization of resources. This includes budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and benefits management. They provide critical financial insights, guide strategic financial planning, and ensure compliance with federal and foundation funding requirements to support the Council’s mission of empowering young people.
