43K | Backcountry Building & Operations

The name isn't arbitrary. 43 is the length of the North Coast Trail — where founders Ben and Shaun first crossed paths while designing and clearing one of BC's most challenging backpacking routes. Sharing more than a tent pad and a chainsaw, they shared a vision: a company built for the wilderness, specializing in backcountry facility design, construction, and operations in the most remote and rugged corners of British Columbia.

Fifteen years later, that vision is a track record.
Headquartered on Vancouver Island with a team of 20+ dedicated professionals, 43K has earned its reputation as a recognized industry leader in backcountry facility design and construction — complemented by over a decade of hands-on park operations experience. We work where others won't, delivering reliable, lasting solutions in the places most companies can't reach.
No project is too big. No detail is too small. We thrive in uncertain conditions and take pride in results that stand the test of time, no matter how adverse the environment.

We work where you play.
