Imran Settuba has had a varied work experience since 2018. Imran began as a Werkstudent - Research Assistant at SAP UCC Munich in 2018. In 2019, they joined 47 Degrees as a Software Engineer II, where they worked on structural improvements across microservices written in Kotlin with Ktor, Arrow, Jetbrains Exposed and running on Kubernetes in the Azure platform. Imran also trained other teams with functional patterns and improved code quality. In October 2020, they began working on an in-house 47 Degrees project, building microservices architecture platform (REST) using Kotlin, Spring Boot, Ktor, Arrow libraries, SqlDelight (with Postgresql), Google PubSub, Testcontainers/Docker, Kubernetes in CI/CD, and OpenApi. Additionally, they are an Arrow.kt Maintainer, maintaining the Annotation Processors in the old Arrow-meta module and co-owning the translation project with Bartosz Milewski's Category Theory Book to Kotlin.
Imran Settuba attended the Technical University of Munich from 2017 to 2019, where they completed 3 semesters of their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems - Wirtschaftsinformatik.
