When life throws you a curveball, you can either fight against it or work with it. We chose the latter. 
47ZERO was founded after a serious health event that set Cormac Hanley back to zero at 47 years of age, forcing him to relearn the basics. Eventually, he sought a new challenge—one that was within reach given his new limitations.  And so, the seed for 47ZERO was planted. 
After completing a horology course in Annecy, in the east of France, Cormac and his wife, Gráinne, founded 47ZERO, focusing on the design and fabrication of artisanal watches. 
Having retained his creative side and now, having learned about the mechanics of watchmaking, 47ZERO is unique in that the watches are both designed AND made by Cormac.   Each watch design tells its own story, a story of positivity and a tribute to perseverance and creativity in the face of adversity.

 47ZERO a été fondée après un événement de santé sérieux qui a ramené Cormac Hanley à zéro à l'âge de 47 ans, le forçant à réapprendre les bases de la vie.

Finalement, il a cherché un nouveau défi, quelque chose à sa portée compte tenu de ses nouvelles limitations.

Après avoir suivi une formation d'horlogerie à Annecy, dans l'est de la France, Cormac et sa femme, Gráinne, ont fondé 47ZERO, en se concentrant sur la conception et la fabrication de montres artisanales. 
Heureusement, ayant conservé son esprit créatif et appris sur la mécanique de l'horlogerie, 47ZERO est unique en ce sens que les montres sont à la fois conçues ET fabriquées par Cormac.  Chaque design de montre a sa propre histoire, une histoire de positivité et un hommage à la persévérance et à la créativité face à l'adversité.
