Celia Jones

Celia Jones is an experienced scientist currently serving as Scientist III at 4basebio since July 2022, following a tenure as Scientist II. Previously, Celia held the role of Laboratory Supervisor at Oncologica UK from September 2020 to August 2022, where responsibilities included managing the COVID-19 extraction and PCR departments and overseeing the NGS department, with a focus on laboratory workflow optimization and troubleshooting. Earlier career roles include Genetic Technologist at Oncologica UK, where RNA extraction and RT-qPCR on COVID-19 samples were performed, and COVID-19 Test Site Administrator at G4S. Celia also gained experience as a Catering Assistant at Churchill College, University of Cambridge, during which event dining services were provided. Celia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey, completed in June 2020.
