André Pienaar is the Founder of C5, a specialist venture capital firm focused on cyber security, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, with offices in London, Washington, D.C., Luxembourg, Munich, and Bahrain. André serves on the boards of several cyber security companies, including 4iQ, IronNet Cybersecurity in Maryland, and the Haven Group in Luxembourg.
Andre has a passion for identifying the right talent and technologies to help create cyber security solutions. In addition to his venture capital experience, André became the youngest managing director at Kroll Inc, which was successfully sold to Marsh Mclennan. André then went on to found the international cybersecurity consulting firm G3.
André also dedicates his time and energy to other impactful roles including: Serving as a member of the United States Institute of Peace Advisory Council. USIP is an American federal institution tasked with promoting conflict resolution and prevention worldwide.
Serving on the Foreign Policy leadership Council of the American research group the Brookings Institute.
Serving on the President’s Council of the International Crisis Group, a transnational non-profit, non-governmental organisation that carries out field research on violent conflict and aims to provide policies to prevent, mitigate or resolve conflict.
