Alex Pelaez

Alex Pelaez, Ph.D., is the CEO of 5 Element Analytics, an independent, privately-held, multi-domain analytics firm that provides analytics solutions, deep learning, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data capabilities to large firms. They have over 20 years of strategic experience in technology and information management and have led large teams and multiple systems implementations, including enterprise data warehouses (10-50 TB), CRM, financial and payroll systems, and ecommerce sites. They currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics at Hofstra University (2015–Present) and have previously taught at the City University of New York. They attended Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, from 2010 to 2014.
