Matthew Waters

Matthew Waters is a Director of Operations at 54, where responsibilities include supporting the growth of Asset Optimisation and Strategic Advisory services in various markets since May 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew held several positions at Troon from September 2013 to May 2022, including Championship Director, Guest Services Director, and Group General Manager across various prestigious golf clubs. Matthew's career in golf operations began as a Golf Operations Intern at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, leading to progressive roles up to Group Director of Golf. Matthew holds a Foundation degree in Professional Golf Studies from the University of Birmingham and a Foundation degree in Tournament Golf, Sports and Exercise from the University of Plymouth International College, alongside A Levels in Psychology, Physical Education, and 3D Design from Caterham School.
