Julia Wester has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Julia began their career as an Account Manager in Quikrete from 1998 to 2000. Julia then worked as a Web Developer at CNN from 2000 to 2007, where they contributed to various websites. After that, they joined Turner Broadcasting as a Senior Web Developer from 2007 to 2009, and later became the Technical Manager of the NBA.com web development team from 2009 to 2012.

In 2012, Julia co-founded 5 Monkeys LLC, a company specializing in supporting Appfire and the Wittified brand of add-ons for Atlassian Software. Julia served as the Co-founder until 2019.

In 2015, Julia joined LeanKit as an Improvement Coach, where they embraced Lean principles and focused on making teams more effective and customer-value oriented. Julia later assumed the role of Manager of the Customer Education team in the Customer Success department.

Julia also co-founded Lagom Solutions in 2018, where they provided Lean/Agile consulting and training services without being attached to any specific approach or methodology. Julia served as the Co-founder and Principal Consultant until 2019.

From 2014 to 2015, Julia worked at F5 Networks as a Sr Manager and Manager in the IT Web Development department, leading high-performing teams and improving the web presence of the company.

Currently, Julia serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of 55 Degrees AB, a company that offers training and consulting services to help individuals and organizations achieve more with less stress. Julia started their role in 2019.

In 2020, Julia took on the position of PSK Course Steward at Scrum.org, where they became one of the course stewards for the Professional Scrum with Kanban course. Julia completed their role in 2021.

Julia Wester has a diverse education history. In 1994, they enrolled at Shorter University and completed their Bachelor's degree in Music Education in 1998. After that, in 2015, they pursued a Certificate in Solutions Architecture from the University of Washington.

In addition to their formal education, Julia holds various certifications. In October 2012, they became a Kanban Coaching Professional certified by the Lean Kanban University. Moving forward, they obtained the SAFe® 4 Certified Program Consultant certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2017. In March 2017, they also earned the SAFe 4.0 Agilist certification from the same institution.

Continuing their professional development, Julia acquired the Professional Scrum Trainer certification from Scrum.org in August 2019. Julia also completed a Lean Software Development certification through LinkedIn in July 2019. Additionally, in February 2020, they became a Certified "It Depends" Practitioner from Gitte Klitgaard, and in October 2020, they became a Professional Kanban Trainer certified by ProKanban.org.

Julia also holds some unspecified certifications from Scrum.org, including Professional Scrum Master I, Professional Scrum Master II, Professional Scrum Master III, and Professional Scrum with Kanban, although specific information regarding the months and years obtained for these certifications is not available.
