Rhett Evans

Since February of 2020, Rhett has overseen 5B’s technology teams, responsible for the continued development of our catalogue of pre-fabricated solar products and solutions. His attention to detail and passion for innovation inspires and encourages everyone on the team to hold themselves and their work to the highest standard.

Rhett’s strong interest and passion for the impact of module quality to on-field performance led him to complete a Ph.D. in the area of statistical modelling of PV manufacturing systems for improved quality, at The University of NSW. Since then, Rhett has accumulated over 20 years of private and public sector experience across all areas of PV; from managing R&D teams, to developing new technologies around technology transfer, cell and module manufacturing, reliability testing, field deployment, field monitoring, field performance risk and financial modelling.

As our team would know from his character and role at 5B, Rhett is the kind of guy that would never turn down a DIY project. He both plays and coaches football, living a healthy lifestyle with yoga and fitness at the core. Rhett and his partner enjoy spending time with their three daughters on the coast south of Sydney.
