Aapo Koski

Aapo Koski has a diverse work experience that spans over various industries. Aapo is currently serving as the Co-Founder of 61 NorthPoint since August 2022. Prior to this, Aapo worked as a Visiting Lecturer at both SeAMK - Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences from September 2020 and Tampere University of Applied Sciences from August 2018.

Aapo also gained valuable experience at Accenture, where they served as an Industry Innovation Senior Principal from November 2019 to August 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior Architect at Systematic between August 2017 and November 2019. Aapo's role as a Solutions Architect at Patria lasted from August 2016 to August 2017.

Earlier in their career, Aapo held the position of Senior System Analyst - Product Owner at Basware Oyj from August 2015 to August 2016. Aapo then transitioned to Insta DefSec Oy, where they served as a Senior Software Architect and Product Owner of the Insta Response Product family from September 2010 to July 2015.

Aapo also gained experience as an Information Technology Consultant at UNDP from November 2014 to February 2015. Aapo started their career as the Chief Engineer at Bitwise Oy, where they worked from November 2007 to November 2010.

Aapo Koski has a strong education background in various fields. Aapo pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Technology from the University of Helsinki, completing their studies from 2015 to 2019. Prior to this, they attended the Tampere University of Technology from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Electromagnetics. Additionally, they completed a Licentiate of Technology (Lic.Tech.) degree in Electromagnetism from the same institution between 1990 and 1993.

Apart from their university education, Aapo has also acquired a pedagogical qualification in the Vocational Teacher Education Program from the Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2009 and 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Aapo holds The Open Group Certified TOGAF® 9 Certification, which was obtained in October 2018 from The Open Group. Aapo also holds the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification, obtained in July 2020 from Scaled Agile, Inc.
