Kedar Gupta

Dr. Gupta has nearly two decades of clean technology industry experience. Recently he was the co-founder and CEO of Advanced Research Energy Company which specialized in manufacturing of sapphire furnaces and semiconductor scale technologies. Prior to that, he was the co-founder and subsequently the CEO of GT Solar (GT Advanced Technologies), global clean technology business with more than 600 employees and revenues exceeding $800 million. Before co-founding GT Solar, Dr. Gupta served as vice president and general manager of the Systems Equipment Division of Ferrofluidics Corporation, where he grew the business from less than a five percent market share to more than a 60 percent market share in a five-year period.

Dr. Gupta is well recognized for his entrepreneurship. He has received the New Hampshire High Tech Council Entrepreneur of the Year award and has been a New England finalist for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Dr. Gupta earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, MBA from Lindenwood College, and a bachelor’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
