Tom Richards

Tom Richards is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business development and strategy within the healthcare industry. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Business Development at Transcarent and an Operating Partner at 7wireVentures, Tom previously held various senior leadership roles at Cigna from 1984 to 2022, including Senior Vice President and Global Lead for Strategy & Business Development. Tom's responsibilities at Cigna encompassed enterprise strategy, corporate development, and managing the Corporate Venture Capital arm. Additional leadership positions included President of the US Individual and Online Solutions segment, and Vice President roles overseeing product development, consumer-driven health initiatives, and sales and marketing efforts. Tom also contributed as a Board Member for MDLIVE, a notable Telehealth company. Educational qualifications include an MBA with a focus on Marketing from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
