Emily Bower

Emily Bower is an experienced editor and project manager currently serving at 84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha since January 2011. As a Senior Teacher and Acharya at the Shambhala Centers since March 2004, Emily conducts Shambhala Buddhist workshops and retreats across the United States. Additionally, Emily has maintained a freelance career as a book and magazine editor since February 1998, and previously worked as an acquiring editor at Shambhala Publications from August 2001 to December 2010. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Brown University, earned between 1979 and 1983.
