Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson is a Ph.D. Senior Research Scientist currently applying state-of-the-art techniques to build foundational AI models for retail at 84.51˚. They previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Robotic Materials at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and served as a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation from 2019 to 2022. Brian also held various roles in research and engineering, including a Technical Specialist position at Lockheed Martin and multiple internships in mechanical and robotics engineering. They earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, along with a Master's and Bachelor's from the same institution and Cornell University, respectively.
