Phil Lee

Phil Lee has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Phil started their career at Racal Research, where they worked as a Principle Software Engineer, focusing on the development of ISDN products. Phil then joined Origin as a Software Engineer/Project Manager, leading a team in developing pagers for Philips. At Symbionics, Phil worked in the Digital TV group, coding a Device Manager for the Toshiba OnDigital set-top box.

After that, Phil worked at Imerge as a Software Engineer/Team Leader, where they designed and coded a DVD controller application and built a Linux distribution for the company's audio server. Phil then joined Toshiba Information Systems as a Principle Software Engineer, involved in the development of iDTV and set-top box software.

Phil's next role was at Linx Printing Technologies, where they served as a ScrumMaster and Software Engineer. Phil redesigned the UI of a CIJ printer and introduced Scrum methodology to the project. Following this, they joined Broadcom as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and later as a Software Manager, working on the Android Camera software stack.

At Elektron Technology, Phil held multiple positions, including Acting Software Development Manager and Software Team Lead. Phil focused on JavaScript code modification and management of the Checkit device ecosystem.

Most recently, Phil worked at Checkit.net as a Software Team Leader, Engineer, and Manager. Phil wrote node report programs and concentrated on learning web technology. Currently, they are working at 8power Limited as a Principal Software Engineer, developing and supporting a golang-based application on a Linux PC-based IoT edge connected platform, and developing release and build systems for BTLE Embedded sensors and IoT edge PC platforms.

Phil Lee attended the University of Brighton from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
