William Das is currently an Engineering Fellow at both 8VC and Kleiner Perkins, and serves as a Founder Fellow at Soma Capital, with a focus on efficient medical foundation models in AI research at IBM. Additionally, William is a Teaching Assistant for graduate-level coursework in High Performance Machine Learning at Columbia University. Previously, William contributed to ML Engineering roles at Zanbato and Helix, specializing in biomedical NLP and hierarchical code analyses. As a Co-Founder and CTO of Ocular Diagnostics, Inc., innovations in neuro-diagnostics for ADHD were developed, with work published in notable journals. Additional experience includes research in applied AI/ML at Nokia Bell Labs and software engineering at Symbotic. William is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science at Columbia University.
