Bei Yang

Bei Yang is a software engineer who has gained experience with a wide range of technologies and programming techniques. Bei has worked as a front-end developer, web developer, and software programmer. In their current position as a software engineer at 99designs, they are responsible for the development and maintenance of responsive websites.

Bei Yang’s first job was as a front-end developer at Tundra Interactive, where they developed responsive websites using CMS (WordPress, Sitecore, Drupal), Photoshop, HTML, SASS, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, and NodeJS packages (Gulp, Grunt). Bei also gained experience with Git, a version control system that is used by developers to track changes in code.

In their next position as a web developer at DCA - Database Consultants Australia, Bei Yang designed and developed a web application for a large public transport provider to manage infringements. Bei finished the project ahead of schedule. During their time at DCA - Database Consultants Australia, they also gained experience with the ASP.NET MVC4 framework.

In their most recent position as a software programmer at Semaphore Consulting, Bei Yang developed a goal management system for primary and secondary schools in Australia that uses responsive web design and is compatible across a wide range of browsers and platforms (IE7, iPad etc.). Bei also designed and implemented a 3K+ LOC web-based data grid (similar to excel) with compatibility across various browsers using JavaScript and HTML DOM manipulation without any third-party plug-ins.

Bei Yang has a Master of Information Technology from UNSW and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Software Engineering from East China Normal University.
