Lachlan Bird

Lachlan Bird is the Tech Lead at 99designs. Lachlan has previously worked as a software developer at Catapult Sports from January 2011 to September 2018. There, they were part of a small, multi-functional team that delivered elite athlete performance analysis to sporting organisations worldwide. As the Lead Web Developer, their responsibilities included working on OpenField, building RESTful APIs, facilitating the live broadcast of athlete performance metrics, administering the AWS environment used, designing and tuning databases, and implementing new data analytics projects.

Lachlan Bird completed a BSc in Computer Science and Software Engineering, as well as a BMm in Games and Interactivity, at Swinburne University. Lachlan also holds a certification from Cisco in CCNA.

Their manager is Michael Tibben, VP Technology. They work with Xuan Tong - Senior Software Engineer, Ahmed Radwan - Senior Data Engineer, and Jayden Ivanovic - Tech Lead.
