Chrishan de Mel has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various sectors.

Starting in 2002, they worked at Virtusa as an Associate Director, where they led the Process Quality team and the Project Management Competency Excellence Group. Chrishan was responsible for CMMI Level 3 Assessment, improving employee engagement, and training project managers and team leaders.

In 2004, Chrishan became the Manager of Training & Development at Virtusa, where they reported to the Business Unit Head and was accountable for successful project execution.

From 2006 to 2007, they served as the Manager of Sri Lanka Marketing, and from 2007 to 2009, they held the role of Marketing Manager in the UK.

Chrishan also worked as an Independent Consultant and Trainer, delivering training programs on leadership development, project management, and soft skills in India and Sri Lanka. Chrishan augmented the HR function as an external consultant for a software company in global logistics and supply chain management.

In addition, Chrishan held roles at various educational institutions. Chrishan was a Senior Lecturer at Business Management School and an Accredited Local Tutor at Northumbria University, where they taught subjects such as academic writing, research methods, organizational behavior, and corporate strategy.

Chrishan's passion for education led him to become a local tutor for the University of Leicester, where they taught core modules for the MBA program.

From 2011 to 2016, Chrishan worked as a Professional Associate/Trainer at ESI International, delivering project management programs and developing case studies based on client domains.

Chrishan later joined Zaizi as a Project Manager in 2015, before moving on to become the Practice Head at Great Place to Work US in 2016. At Great Place to Work, they were responsible for the Consulting Business Unit and the delivery of development interventions and workshops.

Most recently, Chrishan joined 99x in 2020 as the Chief Marketing and Corporate Affairs Officer.
