Liam Tarpey

Liam Tarpey is a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer with extensive experience in modern web development, currently working at 9fin since August 2025. Previously, Liam held various engineering roles at Busuu from December 2016 to August 2025, where significant contributions included leading the migration to Contentful and spearheading the development of the "Live Lessons" feature, resulting in a notable increase in premium package sales. Earlier career milestones also include building Thortful’s web and admin platform, delivering frontend solutions for high-profile clients at Partners Andrews Aldridge, and leading e-commerce projects at Duck & Cover. Liam started a career as a freelance Frontend Engineer, following an educational background in Commercial Music from the University of Westminster and a Baccalaureate from Lycee Paul Serusier in France.
