Usman Idris

Usman Idris is a seasoned professional in sales strategy and distribution with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Sales Strategy and Distribution at 9mobile since January 2025, Usman leads transformational initiatives and strategic sales plans to drive subscriber growth in Southern Nigeria. Previous roles include significant positions at MTN Nigeria, where accomplishments include overseeing customer acquisition strategies and successfully implementing regulatory compliance measures, among other achievements. Usman has also worked as a consultant in various capacities, providing expertise in project implementation and marketing strategies, demonstrating a strong track record of driving growth and operational excellence across organizations. Usman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology & Mining from the University of Jos and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Wales.
