Julie Vasquez

Julie Vasquez is the Director of Athletics Marketing and Digital Media at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley since January 2023, with a strong background in digital media and marketing. Previously, Julie served as the Marketing and Operations Manager at 9Round Fitness and held the role of Digital Media Manager for both the Bert Ogden Arena and RGV FC Toros. During tenure at the RGV Vipers, Julie successfully managed social media accounts, achieving the NBA G League Overall Digital MVP award in 2021. Julie also has experience as a Senior Account Manager at User Friendly Media and has worked in various capacities, including as a bartender at Chili's and a marketing intern in the UTRGV Athletics department. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and an Associate's degree from South Texas College.
