A Closer Look, Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit public charity founded by Joseph Lovett, a veteran documentarian (see here). With a trauma-informed focus, our mission is to minimize suffering, maximize empathy and inspire action on health and social justice issues. By sharing unique perspectives through film and other creative media, we promote interdisciplinary and trans-generational discussions and offer resources available for help.

Our current projects includes educational outreaches with perspectives on: childhood identity, intolerance, disability, childhood trauma, resilience and race.
