Alexander Auren

Alexander Auren is the Chief Technology Officer at Astar, where they shape the technological vision and develop computer vision solutions for the retail industry. Previously, they worked as a Software Engineer at DNB, creating a retrieval-augmented generation system for a customer-facing chatbot, and held various roles including Software Engineer at Netcompany and AI Developer at Visma Resolve. Alexander has also served as a Student Counselor and Teaching Assistant at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). They are currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at NTNU and have studied at prestigious institutions such as the University of Sydney and the University of Tokyo. Outside of their professional pursuits, Alexander enjoys skiing.
