Ben Copeland

Ben Copeland has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ben is currently working as a Senior Process Development Engineer at A2 Biotherapeutics, Inc. since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Sr Scientist at ChromoLogic LLC from March 2021 to February 2022.

Ben also has experience at City of Hope, where they worked as a Sr Scientist from June 2019 to March 2021, and as a Scientist from January 2016 to June 2019. Ben worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Johns Hopkins Medicine from January 2014 to December 2015.

In addition, Ben was a Research Associate at Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) from 2011 to 2014. Ben started their career at the University of Newcastle, where they worked as a PHD Candidate from 2008 to 2012 and as a Research Assistant from 2007 to 2008.

Early in their career, Ben worked as a Hospital Scientist at John Hunter Children's Hospital in 2006, focusing on the development of qRT-PCR protocols for clinical diagnostics related to Avian Bird Flu (H5N1) and Meningococcus.

Ben Copeland earned a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology (Hons) from Flinders University, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. Ben then pursued further education at GradSchool, The University of Newcastle, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from 2008 to 2012. Prior to their Bachelor's degree, Ben also studied at Flinders University, where they obtained a B.Biotechnology degree, though the dates of this program are unavailable.
